Trump wins the US Elections presidency after securing the swing states of Florida and Ohio and Hillary Clinton admits Trump’s victory. In his victory speech, Trump focused on unity, praising Clinton for a hard-fought campaign and saying “Now it is time for America to heal the wounds of division.”
The former secretary of state failed to deliver a concession speech, instead she allowed authority John Podesta to inform the group at her party in New York’s Javits Center to go back home. She’s expected to create a concession speech this morning.
Oakland, New York, Los Angeles and Washington DC have been protesting against Trump’s victory overnight, burning Trump banners and smashing a window at the Oakland Tribune.
The Republicans won big runaround – maintaining and establishing its control on Senate 51-47 after wins in Florida, Pennsylvania and Indiana. Congress also remains Republican controlled 236-191.
Asian stocks and the US dollar dropped after news of Trump’s victory and bounced back slightly overnight, but everybody have spotted their eyes on the markets this morning.
