Pakistan’s representative in United Nations Maleeha Lodhi in reply to Indian Foreign Minister’s stance that Kashmir is an integral part of India said, “Jammu and Kashmir never was and can never be an integral part of India.”

“The Indian Foreign minister’s speech is a litany of falsehoods and baseless allegations. The biggest falsehood is that Kashmir is an integral part of India. Kashmir is an internationally recognised dispute. It is the oldest item on the UN agenda. The whole world acknowledges this,” – Maleeha Lodhi

In a tweet, Maleeha said raising Balochistan issues which are an internal matter of Pakistan, is a violation of the principles of the United Nations charter and international norms and values.

In an another tweet, she said, “India suspended talks more than a year ago, and has refused to resume these despite repeated offers from Pakistan. The latest offer of talks with India was made by Pakistan’s Prime Minister himself from the rostrum of the General Assembly on 21 September,” Ms. Lodhi said in the tweets.”

In a series of tweets, she also indicated, “Another falsehood was that there are no human rights violations going on in Kashmir. India is in denial. Violations are all documented.”

Meanwhile, Kashmiri separatists groups holding placards and banners protested outside the United Nations against Indian Foreign Ministers’s speech and Indian violations of human rights in Kashmir.
